There are a variety of methods for the removal of tattoos including tattoo removal creams, excision via surgery, dermabrasion, salabrasion, etc. The majority of these treatments are partially effective over time at fading tattoos; however, all of them carry risks of infection due to their invasive techniques. There is also quite a bit of pain involved with these procedures especially when performed by a novice.

Laser tattoo removal on the other hand, is a noninvasive procedure that brings the desired results without the risk of infections like other methods. This treatment option is quite effective and offers fantastic results with much less scarring if any at all. Laser tattoo removal is a far better option than any other tattoo removal option available today.

How does Laser tattoo removal work?

Tattoo ink is made up mostly of heavy metals that are too large for your white blood cells to carry away. The laser works by targeting the tattoo pigmentation and breaking it up into smaller pieces so that the immune system can remove it. This is achieved by using short pulses of high-intensity laser beams that target the pigmentation specifically. Lasers have an exceptional capability of targeting ink in the skin, resulting to harmless and effective removing of unwanted tattoos.

Is Laser Tattoo Removal painful?

Laser tattoo removal does have some pain associated with it. Many compare Laser tattoo removal to being snapped by a Rubber band over and over. However, this pain is a lot less than the other methods like dermabrasion which has a lot of bleeding and scarring associated. To make it easier for the patients, topical anesthetics are applied to the area to be treated which numbs down the sensation of pain and discomfort. It is very much worth the slight pain involved to get the tattoo removed that you are unhappy with.

Is Laser Tattoo Removal effective?

Many people who wish to undergo laser tattoo removal are worried whether this treatment option will help them achieve the desired result and if the treatment is safe for them. Laser tattoo removal for one is highly effective and certainly offers the best results that are had when it comes to getting rid of unwanted tattoos. Other tattoo removal methods have more pain and health risks associated, with far less results. If you’re looking for a safe, effective solution to remove your unwanted tattoos then Laser tattoo removal may be right for you.

How safe is Laser Tattoo Removal?

Laser Tattoo Removal is by far the safest of all tattoo removal options available. The side effects commonly associated with laser tattoo removal are usually mild and temporary. There is little to no downtime for most people after the treatment which is not the case with other treatment options.

If you are looking for how to remove a permanent tattoo, then we can certainly conclude that laser tattoo removal is highly safe and effective with the best results. For those looking to remove tattoos they no longer want, there is no better option than laser tattoo removal in every aspect.

I hadn’t heard of dermabrasion as a tattoo removal method before. It sounds really painful. I had heard of the pain associated to it, but I think I got the two crossed. According to this article, it really doesn’t sound that bad. Especially if the tattoo is located in an area where the skin is sensitive.
